Is it some kinda of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/John_Fante\">Arturo Bandini<\/a> fantasy of burning down Los Angeles? Is it a comment on the spectacle of Hollywood and the <a href=\"http:\/\/laeastside.com\/2009\/06\/birds-eye-point-of-view\/\">world of simulacrum<\/a>? Are the frantic car shakers the 1920s predecessors to out of control <a href=\"http:\/\/laeastside.com\/2009\/06\/lakers-fans-in-eastside-riot\/\">Laker fans<\/a>? Could those white-faced phantoms be the mindless consumers of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mileycyrus.com\/splash\/tour2009?content_url=\/official\">vapid culture<\/a>? The breathy moans that punctuate the song remind me of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=sHiMDB19Dyc\">Jane Birkin<\/a>, might it be her voice? And what&#8217;s that sample towards the end? It&#8217;s a well-known* Egyptian pop song, what in the world? Hmmmm&#8230;<br \/>\nAh, I see it&#8217;s scenes taken from the movie <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Day_of_the_Locust\">The Day of the Locust<\/a> and I&#8217;m not the only one who is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thefader.com\/articles\/2009\/6\/5\/video-the-embassy-you-tend-to-forget\">asking questions<\/a> about it.<\/p>\n<p>The Embassy <a href=\"http:\/\/theembassy.info\/\">website<\/a>.
