Melody Variétés was or still is a French variety TV program featuring musical acts popular for the time. Perhaps the show only ran in the late 1960s-1970s as most of the videos I’ve found come from that era.

This is wonderful. Thank you. I am just discovering the 60’s french pop stuff – I never knew this music existed and I’m thrilled.

On June 10, 1979 Nana Mouskouri appeared on Mélody Variété and performed a wonderful rendition of Schubert’s Schwanengezang (Serenade) accompanied by an orchestra. I’m wondering if anyone out there knows the name of the orchestra and the conductor. Any help would be sincerely appreciated.
