Melody Variétés was or still is a French variety TV program featuring musical acts popular for the time. Perhaps the show only ran in the late 1960s-1970s as most of the videos I’ve found come from that era.

This is wonderful. Thank you. I am just discovering the 60′s french pop stuff – I never knew this music existed and I’m thrilled.

On September 6, 1979 Nana Mouskouri appeared on Mélody Variétés and performed a wonderful rendition of Schubert’s “Schwanengezang” (also called “Serenade”) accompanied by an orchestra. Does anyone out there know the names of the orchestra and conductor? Any help would be apreciated.
